My name is Logan Anchick and I am from Seattle, Washington, but am based out of Boulder, Colorado. With my art I am really interested in the ocean in particular but really just nature in general. My interest in digital art first sparked when my brother started doing photography and I would see him edit photos. From there I just wanted to start making cool edits. I am fresh and new into the art game but in the past I would say some of my top pieces consist of a lot of woodworking. I once made an adirondack chair and it is still in use today. A big influence on my art is ancient tribal art, typically of the ocean and its creatures. I am still very much learning how to express my ideas through art but I am stoked to learn more. With that being said my philosophy will be to just try my best and be as creative as possible. The reason I took this class and the reason I want to make art is I think it is an awesome way to express oneself and show what really is going on in your head. I would say my predominant medium falls between ancient tribal work and cartoon animal work. Overall I just want to be able to connect the ocean and nature to a fun inclusive environment that everyone can come to enjoy. I think it is important to spread humor but, also put off a good message in that we need to take care of our planet. If I had one goal for people viewing my art, it would be for them to gain respect for the earth we live on every day and also to put a smile on their face or get a laugh.
